snowy play on memorial day

We always go up to my in-laws cabin for Memorial day. It is always still a bit chilly and their is usually a small pile of snow still on the grass. This year was a bit more snow. Like two feet more. It was more snow then they have in the middle of the winter at our house. They dug giant holes, slid down the huge piles and had snow ball fights. Gabe loved being outside with the rest of them. When he couldn't be outside he would sit by the window and watch.

Playing in the snow was not all that we did. We also had a weekend long Indiana Jones marathon. The kids had fun re-telling their favorite parts afterwards.

We also took the ATVs out for a spin. Despite getting stuck in the snow it was great fun. It would probably have been better to have had snowmobiles.

Gabe's favorite thing to do at the cabin is to play with "Big Mouth Billy Bass". It is a singing fish that hangs on the wall. He loved to have us push the button. He would walk around saying "butt butt" (which is short for push the button please). He was to scared of it to push it himself. He loves that fish but is also a bit freaked out by it.

Grandma Judy even had an art project for the kids to do. She bought them all matching yellow t-shirts for them to take on our cruise this summer. She brought fabric markers and let them design their own t-shirts. They did a great job and will look great wearing them on our trip.

One of the best things to do at the cabin is to just relax, which we did a lot of.

That looks so fun. We have fond memories of that cabin too. Remember Norman?
