sunday games

Mariah really does say the darndest things. Yesterday we went out to visit Grandma Judy and Papa. Mariah and Grandma went outside to enjoy the nice day. Grandma reminded Mariah that it was Sunday and we don't run around. Mariah asked what we can do then. Grandma said that we could play Sunday games. Mariah thought for a minute and then said, "Like, Chase Jesus?"

yippee!!!

I say this because Gabe is sleeping in his crib in his own room. More importantly he is not waking up every two hours. The last two nights when he has woken up my sweet darling husband has gotten up with him. Last night I was able to sleep without waking until 5 this morning. I haven't had that much uninterrupted sleep for a long long time. I am hoping that after a few more nights he will be as good as Kristen's baby and sleep all through the night. Isn't it great that it takes very little to bring joy to the life of a mother.

tulips

I love my tulips. I am so sad they are not going to last much longer. I was so sad in fact that I decided to photograph them. I planted then several years ago and now they just bloom year after year without me doing a darn thing. They are one reason I love spring so much. I am posting these pictures on my blog so all my enjoy my pretty little flowers.

my little thespian

Hayley, as many people know, is quite an actress. So what better outlet for out little drama queen than the theatre. She tried out for the West Jordan Children's Theatre's production of Rumplestiltskin and got a part!! She does not technically have lines in the script but still manages to steal the show. The play started this week and it has been so fun to see her enthusiasm. It is all she can do not to wave while on the stage. She being up there with the other actors. Tonight and tomorrow are the final nights of the performance. If you want to go and see a great play with you kids, this is one to see. It is at the Sugar Factor Play House at 7:30. Tickets are on sell at Macy's or at the door. Come and enjoy!! She loves an audience.

My Digi Class

For my birthday my wonderful friends Haylie and Shalynn got me an online digital scrapbook class. I am having a blast. Our first assignment was to make a title page for a scrapbook we will be making about our digital experience. We then got to make a page about digital things we love. It has forced me to get out of my box and scrapbook a little differently. Thanks you guys.

Easter all weekend long

We had a great time celebrating Easter this year. Friday we went over to my mom's and colored easter eggs. My dad then hid them in the yard along with some candy filled eggs. The kids had a blast looking for all the eggs. It took them all of five minutes to find them all. My mom tried to make it more interesting by making them take six paces in between picking up eggs. She wanted it to last longer. She thinks we should have said ten paces.
Doesn't Bella look thrilled in this photo. She really did have an excellent time.

I had to show this picture of Gabriel, Eliabeth and Kaleb. It was a whole family affair on Friday so we had all the babies together. I know Gabe is huge but next to Elizabeth he's gigantic. I was worried he was going to eat her.

Saturday we got haircuts (I know, nothing to do with Easter) and then we went to my in-laws to color eggs. We did these really cool swirly kind. I think I had more fun than the kids. Aren't they purty? My mother-in-law laughed at me for taking this picture.

On Saturday night I thought I would start a new tradition in our family. I got the idea from my adorable friend Mindy. We had my brother Adam and his family over for a genuine Jeruselum dinner. We sat on the floor lounging on pillows while we ate various foods that Jesus may have eaten. It was really fun and delicious.
Whenever Hayley would say she wasn't sure she would like something Adam would say, "If it's good enough for Jesus, it's good enough for you." It seemed to work. She said it was wonderful and that we should eat like that all the time. I think she just liked eating on the floor.
Sunday morning started with easter baskets. The kids all got littleist pet shop animals. It is one thing they all like to play together. They also go way too much candy. I hate having candy in the house. I wanna eat it so bad. Bad bad bad.

Then on Sunday we went back to my in-laws for a very delicious dinner. Grandma and Grandpa Hilton and Lisa were there too. After we ate the kids had a great time doing another easter egg hunt. Judy had given each kid a specific color of egg to find so it made it a lot easier to be fair. When the older kids were done they helped the little ones find their eggs too.
Judy called me today and told me that she found three of Mariah's in the back yard today. I'm not telling Mariah. Grandpa got to eat the candy inside. He's not telling either.

This is the last picture, I promise. Aren't my kids adorable. I think so.

It's a Miracle

I have found something that makes my life easier. It is a small miracle when this happens. It is called Children's Miracle Music. I have only used it twice but I already have testimony of it. IT IS TRUE!!!! Last night my kids helped clean up, got their PJ's on, put their dirty clothes in the hamper (miracle), and said their prayers without one peep from me. This morning was even better. My toy room is clean, the kids got dressed, made their beds, ate breakfast, put their bowl in the dishwasher, did their hair (with a little help from me) brushed their teeth, and we even had time for scripture study. They were dancing around and laughing the whole time. If any of you know Hayley you know that this is a miracle. I have to prod her from wake-up time to going out the door. This morning I didn't have to give her one reminder. Everyone with little kids needs to get this. I wish I had thought of it myself. Then I could be rich and have well behaved children. Buy it, try it, love it!!!!
