No 4th of July would be complete without fireworks and food at Grandma & Grandpa's. Their house is only a couple of blocks away from the golf course where the fireworks go off. We have a birds eye view, without having to brave the crowds. We started the evening with Papa taking the kids for rides on his ATV. All the kids had a blast but Gabe had the most fun of all. I wish I could have captured the look on his face. We spend the evening eating, relaxing, and the kids even played a little hoop. We broke out the 20 boxes of glow sticks and watched the front yard light up even before the fireworks began. Even Meg got to get in on the fun. The fireworks were awesome and made a perfect night complete.
Instead of driving home late at night with 5 kids we decided to sleep over. Not only does this save us from the drive but we also get to go to the Turner's 4th of July breakfast. Pancakes, bacon, eggs and fruit....mmmmmm. I was just thinking that if we didn't have food the 4th of July wouldn't be the same.
