party party party

This year Mariah got a triple dose of birthday parties. On her birthday we had back to school night so there was no time for a big party. We wanted to do something however so we went to The Mayan for dinner. This is my kids favorite restaurant. They love watching the divers and sitting in the tree tops. The food has also gotten much better so Scott and I can enjoy it as well.

We have a family party every year but every other year the kids get to also have a friend party. This year was Mariah's year. We decided to have a water game party. She invited Addie, Chessa and Amy. Hayley, Jaden, and Isabella also joined in the fun. We played lots of fun water games. The funniest to watch was freeze sprinkler. The kids danced around and when the sprinkler turned on they would have to freeze. We also played water limbo, sponge tag and a game where the kids had to fill a jar using a sponge that they filled in the pool and then ran across the yard.

Right after her friend party we headed to my parents house for our third and final celebration. We were joined by Grandma Judy and Grandpa, Aunt Lisa, Miklaya and Dallas, GrandMerry, Papa, Mystery Faith and Jonathan, Aunt Janie, Uncle Ryan and Elizabeth and her cousins William and Katie. We ate pizza and swam and enjoyed watching Mariah open her presents. She always says what's on her mind and upon opening a wii game from Grandma Judy exclaimed "I get to say who can play with it because it's mine!" Her favorite present was her baby alive that we gave her. I spent a lot of the night babysitting it so she could continue swimming.

Even though I am sure Mariah enjoyed the triple party fun next year we're back down to one.

P.S. to Adam, Danielle, Kennedy, Seth and Caleb. It is times like this that we really miss you guys. We love you!
