birthday party report

I don't know why it takes me so long to blog about birthday parties. Gabe turned one a week ago today. This week just got away from me. Kind of like his whole first year did. We had a great party for him at my in-laws house. Great for us anyway. I don't think he knew what was going on. He was a bit tired and decided midway through presents he wanted a nap. He was denied his nap and instead given his very own birthday cake. What better way to get a little pick me up than with sugar. He really enjoyed it but looked a little sick by the end. Being the youngest of five he really didn't need that many toys. He mostly got clohtes which is probably why he got so sleepy during present time. His favorite gift was a penguin that Mariah gave him. She got it for Christmas but he found it and loves it. She decided she wanted to give it to him for his birthday. Very sweet. Because it was his birthday he got to go with mom and dad to the U of U football game. He loved clapping and yelling and even got to take a little nap. He didn't even care that they lost. It was a pretty darn good first bithday if you ask me.
